Larry making big announcement — FINALLY
Larry Ellison is still speaking but already it’s clear that my prediction of an Oracle platform is coming to reality. He’s announced the Oracle Cloud, a Social Network and Fusion apps announced GA with 200 customers. One more announcement that I may not have time to watch. I have a panel with Paul Greenberg and Ray Wang at 5 and need to get going. Nice demo done by Larry using iPad.
My big criticism is that Oracle has waited till now to announce all this stuff. If they had made these announcements on SUNDAY we would have had all week to kick the tires. This immediately raises my suspicions that this is really an announcement but not product availability.
